Opaq – Food for Fashionistas

Looking for a hip new restaurant in Lisbon, in an out of the way location, and virtually guaranteed to be brimming with fashion models?  Find your way over to Opaq.

Some would say the obscure location, hidden in a secluded alley in the Santos area, is not a commercially viable address.  Others might say, it is ideally situated for those “in-the-know,” seeking a cool spot to hang out for the night.

Opaq is the brainchild of Elite Models Lisbon president Hélio Bernardinio, models Celso Martins and Ana Rita Rocha, and talent manager Diogo Martinho.  The fashion pedigree adds to the glamour of the restaurant, which once was a traditional tavern, now renovated into a contemporary eatery of style and design.

The kitchen is supervised by Chef Helder Branco.  He serves up Portuguese and Mediterranean dishes with innovative flair.  Menus change with the seasons.  Or, ask for the Chef’s Tasting Menu.  Helder will present his choice of two starters, a fish course, anin-between course palate cleanser, a main course and two desserts.  Yum!  You’ll also receive a glass of wine to complement the meal.
