Another great outdoor music festival is upon us in Portugal. Super Bock Super Rock 2011 will play out July 14, 15 & 16 at Meco in Sesimbra. Just a short drive south from Lisbon, in an outdoor venue, music lovers will see 44 artists, including The Walkmen, Arctic Monkeys, Portishead, Arcade Fire, Slash, The Strokes, and Brandon Flowers.

Started in 1994, Super Bock Super rock has become one of the biggest festivals in the country, attracting rock & roll and heavy metal fans from all across Europe. DIRECTIONS FROM THE 25 DE ABRIL BRIDGE/A2
■ At A2 turn to Sesimbra/Azeitão
■ Take the Estrada Nacional to Sesimbra;
■ After driving past Vila de Fernão Ferro, at the first roundabout (Rotunda do Grilo), go right towards Alfarim;
■ Continue driving onwards up until the Festival’s location, on the right-hand side.
