From Castro Marim in the east to Sagres in the west, the Algarve features trails in the hills or along the coast. Our friends at Algarve Channel 5 provides video previews of some of their favorite walks.
Beautiful flat trail meandering past the golf courses of Quinta da Lago and through the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve.
6.4 km hike rich with vegetation and birdlife. The trail is located in the Rocha da Pena Classified Site.
In the northern Albufeira council, in the city of Paderne, this 4.5km walk starts at the Paderne Castle and follows both banks of the Quarteira River.
Hike through the hills near Funcho Dam and Messines, visiting ancient monoliths and grave sites.
