MODALisboa FREEDOM – Winter 2013 – Marques’ Almeida
This season, Marques’ Almeida relocate their young, cool and spontaneous urban girl to the often misunderstood and sometimes polluted suburbs. This change in environment allows the design team of Marta Marques and Paulo Almeida to introduce new colors and textures in their vision for Winter 2013.
Silhouettes are primarily oversized, but occasionally Marques Almeida slips in more fitted pieces. With all this volume, draping begins to play a key role in the collection.

In parkas and jackets, rips and tears in the back create fraying which becomes an emphasis of the garments.
Colors for the Winter 2013 Marques’ Almeida girl is strictly black and gray, with occasional use of acid yellow.
