With the Summer beach party scene now a thing of the past, urban sophisticates have returned to the city in search of the latest trendy place to hang out. They won’t have far to look. Welcoming them with open arms is the new hip stylish hotspot in Lisbon, U Chiado Trendy Bar & Restaurant.
Inside, U Chiado is contemporary and cool. Industrial chic is the theme, with clean lines and minimalist décor. Tones of black and gray on the wall are complimented by glass and chrome. The bar area is open and spacious with sitting areas strategically placed for quiet conversations over cocktails with friends. A resident DJ keeps the beat going. Live acts are also scheduled.
U Chiado is also a trendy destination for dining. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Responsible for the kitchen is Chef Rui Fernandes, formerly of Villa Italia in Cascais and the London Hilton. A U Chiado, Fernandes prepares Portuguese cuisine with his own contemporary twist.
