Yet another nightspot has opened in the über-hot, revitalized neighborhood of Cais do Sodré in Lisbon. A former riverfront warehouse along Cais do Gás has been transformed into Station, a sleek and modern restaurant and nightclub. 500 square meters spread across two floors provides an entire evening of entertainment, from apéritifs and dinner, to cocktails and dancing.
On the ground floor, Station restaurant offers an Asian-inspired menu, designed by culinary consultant Leonor Manita (formerly of Flores restaurant at the trendy Bairro Alto Hotel). Start with chicken or vegetable gyozas, skewered chicken, shrimp or vegetables, salmon tar-tare or veal carpaccio with soy and truffle. Main courses include green and red Thai curries, tuna, salmon or steak fillets, pad thai noodles with chicken and shrimp, and yaki udons. For dessert, Station has prepared lemongrass pannacotta with passion fruit, chocolate fondant and Sagu, which is tapioca with coconut milk and mango.
At 23:00 the party moves upstairs. Resident and guest DJs keep the dance floor busy Tuesday through Saturday. On Thursday, the program is Funk, Disco and Soul. Fridays, party rock with the theme Playstation/Clubbing. And, on Saturdays, Disco and Techno vibes dominate Club Station.
