There are so many amazing views spread out around Lisbon. No wonder “terrace bars” are becoming popular throughout the city. And now, one of the hottest spots for entertainment with a breathtaking view is Clube Ferroviário (Railway Club) adjacent to the Santa Apolónia train station.

With the tagline “Finally a Place to Derail,” Clube Ferroviário has quickly amassed a loyal following since it first opened last year.
The club occupies the space of a former recreational facility; so, there is a lot of room to roam. Two rooms are downstairs , the TVG and the Ferroviário. Each accommodates an ever-changing calendar of live music and DJs.
However, it is the very large rooftop terrace that is most popular. It is here that guests enjoy unobstructed views of the Tagus River. The open-air terrace is an ideal spot to sip beverages and nibble on tapas with friends in the late afternoon. The creative use of train seats arranged in conversation areas contributes to the whimsical railway theme. As the sun sets, the entertainment continues into the night. The terrace’s large format makes it perfect for a diverse range of entertainment, from street performers to small concerts, and televised football viewing to al fresco cinema.
In the nice weather of summer, Club Ferroviário is open every evening. Stop by for after-work cocktails on week days. Stay late into the night on Friday and Saturdays. On Sunday, the sunny terrace is open for brunch, prepared by the popular Lisbon Magnolia Café.
