Fashion Days (Dias de Moda) is an initiative of the Spanish Embassy in Portugal to show the Portuguese public the best of Spanish, Portuguese and international fashion. An exhibition of Spanish fashion will be held at the Palácio Pavilhãu on 7 & 8 May. A series of roundtable discussions featuring Spanish and Portuguese designers takes place at the Instituto Cervantes on 8 May.

Made in Spain: Spanish Fashion for Lisbon and the World (aka Made in Spain: A Moda Espanhola para Lisboa e para o Mundo) is an exhibition of new fashions straight from the runways of Madrid, Paris and New York. On display are pieces from the Autumn-Winter 2014 collections of:

Roundtable discussions take place on 8 May at the Instituto Cervantes de Lisboa (Rua de Santa Marta 43 F). Spanish and Portuguese designers and experts analyze three different areas of fashion: design, art and business.

Fashion as Art (16:00 – 17;00). Moderator: Joan Amaral Cardoso (Journalist, Publico). With Modesto Lomba, Francis Montesinos of Spain and Luis Onofre, Filipe Faísca from Portugal.

Fashion as Design (17:20 – 18:20). Moderator: Barbara Coutinho (MUDE). With Miguel Marineroand Roberto Verino representing Spain, and Nuno Gama and Ricardo Preto from Portugal.

Fashion as a Business (18:40 – 19:40) – Moderator: Monica Seabra Mendes (Catholic University – Luxury Marketing). With Ricardo Gomes (Director El Corte Inglés), Ignacio Sierra (Director General Corporate Group Cortefiel it) of Spain, and Paulo Goncalves (APICCAPS) and Tony Miranda from Portugal
