A beautiful new book of images captures the essence of Portuguese footwear and fashion design in Portugal today. “Portuguese Soul” is edited by APICCAPS (Associação Portuguesa dos Industriais de Calçado, Componentes, Artigos de Pele e Seus Sucedâneos) the national footwear and leather goods manufacturing association, with the intention of positioning Portugal as global leader and innovator in fashion and footwear. For APICCAPS, the images reproduced in this book are testament to a country of many talents.

In a global context, where the national footwear industry exports 95% of its production to 150 countries, the association believes promoting an image of excellence is crucial to affirming the international reputation of the industry. This has been one of the main missions of APICCAPS with a strong support and recognition of the government.
