Who would have guessed? Just an hour north of Lisbon, in the countryside, is a beautiful managed garden intended as “a place for reconciliation.” Buddha Eden is 35 hectares (86 acres) of natural fields, lakes, manicured gardens and Buddhist statuary. Happy Consumption – 20th Century Advertising at the Berardo Museum in Lisbon

The Berardo Collection Museum offers a unique glimpse into everyday life in the 20th century through the medium of advertising art. Creative lithographs reveals the evolution of a remarkable artistic movement known as Pop Art. “Happy Consumption: Advertising and Society in the Twentieth Century” runs through 27 October 2013.
