Sintra’s newest museum, the Air Museum (Museu do Ar) is a vast exhibition space documenting the history of aviation in Portugal. Aircraft and aviation relics from both military and commercial sectors are on display.
Aviation fans can see 40 aircrafts, four simulators, as well as hundreds of articles related to military and civil aviation. Go back to the past and appreciate a replica of the first airplane engine, the XIV Bis, piloted by Alberto Santos Dumont in 1906.
Kids…and adults….will have a wonderful time visiting exhibits inside and outside of the museum and witnessing true relics of aviation history.
