Portuguese denim brand Salsa Jeans unveils a striking new capsule collection in collaboration with Lisbon-born urban artist AKACORLEONE. Titled AKACORLEONE x SALSA JEANS: Identidade, the limited-edition release forms part of the brand’s Proudtuguese Series—an initiative celebrating Portuguese creativity across cultural disciplines. Following its 2023 partnership with architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, this second edition turns to the vibrant world of contemporary art.
AKACORLEONE, the artistic name of Pedro Campiche, is internationally recognized for his bold use of color, geometric forms, and layered symbolism. His murals and mixed-media works—seen in cities from Lisbon to Bangkok—explore themes of identity, belonging, and multiculturalism.
That visual language translates seamlessly into this 15-piece men’s and women’s collection of apparel and accessories, including T-shirts, sweatshirts, denim, outerwear, and a standout graphic vest. Expressive color palettes and emblematic motifs evoke imagined flags of a global community, reflecting Portugal’s rich cultural diversity.
The AKACORLEONE x SALSA JEANS capsule is available online and in selected Salsa Jeans stores across Portugal, Spain, and France—an accessible way to wear a piece of Portugal’s contemporary creative movement.
