Austrian Weeks at the Biergarten in Porches, Algarve, through 9 April

Tired of pizza, sushi and bacalhau à brás? Go Austrian! It’s Austrian Weeks at the Biergarten!

Vila Vita Biergarten in Porches, Algarve, home to delicious Bavarian food, is offering something a little different. Until 9 April, the chefs at the Biergarten are preparing a special menu filled with Austrian favorites.

Try Garlic Soup with croutons or Potato Goulash! Also, there’s Breaded Chicken with potatoes and lamb lettuce salad as well as Beef Entrecôte with onion sauce, sautéed potatoes and spring salad.

For dessert, if you’ve never tried Kaiserschmarrn, then you haven’t lived. These Austrian pancakes are covered in apple jam. Or, try a Knödel Bun with plum jam, poppy seeds and vanilla sauce.
