Catch Me is a new rooftop restaurant and bar in Lisbon, inviting you to “View, Drink, Taste, Live, Share and Dance.” With a cheeky concept, taking inspiration from the film Catch Me if You Can, Catch Me plays on airport themes and “changes in personality” resulting in a mischievous approach to shifting ambiances throughout the day and night, and even smile-inducing names for plates on the menu. Step on board for delightful flight, whether you’re there for lunch, afternoon coffee, sunset drinks, dinner or late-night dancing.
The view alone should make you want to fly in to Catch Me. The modern glass block architecture (the former home of Le Chat) sits on an elevated position (near the Museum of Arte Antiga). Views over Lisbon roof tops from the terrace, but also from the dining room/bar (thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows) span across the Tejo River and feature the 25 April Bridge and Christ the King statue in Almada on the south bank.
In the kitchen, Brazil native Chef Lucas Aaron prepares dishes based on international cuisine and Portuguese favorites. The food journey menu is cleverly-divided into flight segments. Therefore, “Boarding” presents snacks like Cod Croquettes, served with citrus sauce (€8.50) and Dadinhos de Tapioca, a traditional Brazilian tapioca and cheese snack with piri-piri jelly (€9.00). In “Take Off”-mode, you have a choice of the Perfect Egg, made with Serra da Estrela cheese foam, low-temperature egg and truffle oil (€8.00) or the Tabbouleh with teriyaki tuna, quinoa tabbouleh with tuna marinated in teriyaki sauce (€12.00). For the “Long Haul,” main dishes like Shrimp Risotto, with grilled shrimp, spinach and citrus sauce (€18.00) or Grilled Octopus with oven-roasted potatoes, vegetables and aromatic herb oil (€22.00) are highlighted. “On Air” are your side dishes such as Sweet Potato Chips (€4.00) and Sautéed Vegetables (€4.00). The sweet “Landing” offers an Eggs and Almonds Tart, a deconstructed pie with egg jam, almonds and meringue (€5.00) and In the Clouds, with chocolate and strawberry moelleux, crumble and chocolate sphere with strawberry ice cream (€6.00).
For innovative drinks, Catch Me has a large menu of signature cocktails, classic and virgin cocktails, fortified wines, Portuguese wines, and all of your favorite branded beers and spirits.
Currently, DJ sets are scheduled for every Friday and Saturday, from 16:00 to 20:00 and 22:00 to 02:00, as well as Sundays from 16:00 to 20:00.
