The new MAC/CCB Museum of Contemporary Art/Cultural Center of Belém, in Lisbon, (formerly known as the Berardo Collection Museum) officially reopens to the public on 27 October. A full schedule of celebrations, including music performances, art tours and children’s activities are planned for the weekend of 27-29 October. Admission is free. MAC/CCB Opening Night – Friday, 27 October
Doors open at 21:30 Entrance is free. Visitors will have a first look at the first exhibitions of the new museum:
- Or Continuous Drawing – Drawings from the Teixeira de Freitas Collection.
- Cross a Burning Bridge by Berlinde de Bruyckere
- Living in Lisbon – 50 years of architectural housing strategies

At 22:30, visitors are treated to a performance by João Pimenta Gomes, featuring the vocals of Carminho. Following, at 23:00, the beats keep coming with music by DJ Jonathan Uliel Saldanha.

Minimalism Concerts
In New York in the late 1950s, a new artistic movement emerged–“Minimalism.” This new style focussed on the use of very few instruments. This will be a unique opportunity to watch performances by awad-winning Portuguese solo musicians. Each concert will last an average of 12 to 15 minutes.
