Christmas Village
Christmas magic has arrived in Praça Guilherme Pinto in Matosinhos, where the charming Christmas Village is now open for the season. The festive space is filled with activities for all ages, from lively Christmas parades and concerts to theater performances, storytelling sessions, musical moments, and roaming entertainment throughout the square.
Visitors will also find reading corners, themed workshops, a classic carousel, a Ferris wheel, a children’s train, and of course, Santa’s House ready for holiday wishes. Towering above it all is a dazzling 30-meter Christmas tree, brought to life with timed light shows each day.
The Christmas Village is open through January 6, and admission is free, making it a joyful stop for families and holiday explorers alike.

Matosinhos Artisan Market
The Christmas Edition of the Matosinhos Crafts Fair is in full swing. In addition to traditional crafts and foods, there are also design products, books, fashion, decoration and jewelry…and for the first time, a second-hand bookstore. The market runs through 23 December at Jardim Basílio Teles, in front of Matosinhos City Hall.
80 artisans from all regions of the country will participate. There is no shortage of “stalls” selling sweets, cheeses, sausages, dried fruits, honey, jams, clothing, footwear, gloves, scarves, toys, home textiles and many other artisanal products.
According to organzers Andarte, the best time to support small producers and creators is now. When buying Christmas gifts, choose traditional shops, fairs and markets, instead of large stores. It is, besides everything else, the best way to get original gifts.”
Positioned in front of the park is a stunning art display arch that will surely mesmerize.
