In celebration of its first anniversary, Boca Linda in Lisbon is pulling out all the stops to ensure that your taste buds are in for a treat! This Mexican restaurant (“without stereotypes”) presents the Mexican Chefs Experience, promising culinary surprises straight from the heart of Mexico. Through the end of October, invited Mexican chefs showcase the richness of traditional Mexican cuisine in a way that only those who grew up with it can. The Mexican Chefs Experience runs through October.
Kicking off this spectacular event was none other than chef Rodolfo Castellanos, winner of Top Chef Mexico and the mastermind behind the renowned Origin restaurant in Oaxaca. Chef Castellanos introduced his star dish, the Mole Manchamanteles. This traditional pork dish, meticulously prepared and seasoned with a harmonious blend of cinnamon and pepper, is accompanied by pieces of fruit that create a perfect fusion of sweet and savory. This delectable dish will be on the menu throughout the month of September.
But the celebration doesn’t stop there! Also in September, Marco Margain, a co-owner of Boca Linda, who still resides in Mexico and has a restaurant in Mexico City, steps into the limelight. Chef Marco has devised a special menu for the month. Guests can visit each night try the tasting menu. Or, for a special treat, on September 20 and 21, take part in a hands-on activity where you’ll help prepare a Mexican menu (contact the restaurant to reserve your place).
But wait, there’s more! In October, Mexican gastronomy enthusiasts will be pleased to know that another renowned Mexican chef to provide unique moments and further enrich your immersion in the richness of Mexican culture.
