At Vila Vita Parc, culinary excellence is a way of life, and Mizu Teppanyaki continues to raise the bar for Japanese gastronomy in the Algarve. Recognized by the Michelin Guide, this elegant dining experience merges authentic Japanese tradition with contemporary sophistication — all against the mesmerizing backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.
With a design that evokes Zen minimalism, Mizu’s serene atmosphere balances polished wood, subtle lighting, and ocean views, creating an ideal setting for a sensory journey through Japan. Under the guidance of Chef Diogo Ribeiro, the restaurant’s precision, rhythm, and artistry transform each meal into a seamless choreography of flavor and form.

A Symphony of Taste and Technique
Guests can experience Mizu in two distinct ways. The Teppanyaki table, seating just ten, offers an intimate, interactive encounter where Chef Allan Zarandin showcases the centuries-old teppan art. The six-course set menu begins with Sake Kasujiru, a delicate sake lees soup, followed by dishes such as Tai (sea bream with yuzu), Buta (Iberian pork secretos with miso and caramel), and Yakimeshi fried rice with XO sauce. For the main course, diners choose between Black Angus, Tiger Prawn, or Japanese Wagyu, before a sweet finale of seasonal fruits with miso and yuzu ice cream.
For a more traditional fine dining experience, the Mizu tasting menu highlights the restaurant’s most iconic creations, from Toro sashimi with cherry sauce and shiso fleur de sel to Santa Rosalia Wagyu short ribs and the exquisite Sudachi soufflé cheesecake. A carefully curated wine pairing complements the meal, ending with a delicate jasmine tea infusion that cleanses the palate and calms the mind.

A New Culinary Voyage
Mizu introduces a Thai-inspired teppanyaki experience, served exclusively on Friday evenings. This inventive journey through the vibrant flavors of Thailand—think Goong Crepe, Kaeng Phet curry, and Maphrāw coconut ice cream—brings an exotic twist to the restaurant’s celebrated teppan artistry.
