On Saturday, 26 October, step into the artistic world of Monica Ceballos Brenninkmeijer. The Colombian artist and Cascais resident opens her studio to art aficionados, collectors and local creatives for an afternoon of exploration and discovery. Chat with Monica as she provides a peak into her creative process and reveals her “evolving vision.” The “Evolving Visions” open studio event runs from 15:00 to 19:00 in Quinta da Bicuda.
Throughout her years in Colombia, Monica studied multiple media and art techniques from graphic design and painting to paper making and underwater photography. Blending this broad training with a keen sense for design and an abundance of artistic expression, Monica creates works that are both calming in style, but complex in detail.
“My canvases are layered with a mix of captivating images—from pictures of nature to intriguing visuals that draw me in,” explains Monica. “These elements, combined with the collage and mixed media techniques I love, come together to create a rich tapestry of ideas and emotions.”
Works by Monica have appeared in exhibitions in New York, Dubai, Cyprus and Lisbon.
