Sure Red Frog continues to serve award-winning, Michelin star-quality cocktails in a hip, cosmopolitan setting. But sometimes, you need a little cha-cha-cha and ai-yai-yai in your life! Monkey Mash, just off Avenida da Liberdade in Praça Alegria, is bright, colorful and festive. The motif is contemporary tropical. A vibrant mural by noted urban artist AKA Corleone adorns the side wall. And the drinks are designed to make you feel like you’re on a Caribbean beach watching the sunset.
Although you can order any beverage that pleases you, owners Paulo Gomes and Emanuel Minez have developed a menu of signature cocktails based on tropical cane and agave distilled spirits. Think rum, tequila, cachaça|
Highlights from the menu include: Savage Damage of Curado Blue Agave, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, taco salsa verde and za’atar; Spice Tepaché Mule with Seedlip Spice 94, Schweppes Premium, ginger beer, Spice Tepaché; Like a Bird in a Jungle with Patrón Silver, Martini Ambrato, Cascara Martini Bitter, coconut chips and mango relish; and Beet the Roots, made with Bacardi Ocho, Martini Rubino, beets, damasco and cocoa husk. Drink prices are between €8.50 and €11.00.
