Never one to stay still for too long, Portugal celebrity chef Vitor Sobral is changing things up once again. He has evolved his Cevejaria da Esquina, focusing on shellfish, into Peixaria da Esquina, expanding his menu to include fresh fish, cured fish and marinated fish dishes. Peixaria da Esquina is on Rua Correia Teles in Campo de Ourique in Lisbon.
“Peixaria da Esquina takes the best of Cervejaria and gives our customers the finest of the world’s fish, along with the freshness and quality we all seek,” says Chef Sobral.
Some of the marinados on the menu include: mackerel, citrus, ginger and parsley; tuna, mango, pepper, pennyroyal; oysters, pear, ginger and lemon; scallops almond and truffle. Prices range from €8.20 – 12.60.
Specialty cured fish includes swordfish, tuna, salmon and fresh water eel, from €8.20 to 9.80.
The Peixaria menu also includes favorite Portuguese dishes such as fresh fish, cataplanas, açordas and rices. €12.30 – 48.90
Architects Sofia Duarte and João Mota designed the Peixaria ambiance keeping the sea and fishing traditions in mind.
