History and scent entwine in Porto 1394, the latest creation from Portuguese fragrance house Leme – Perfumes com Estória. Paying homage to the birthplace of Infante D. Henrique—the visionary prince who launched the Age of Discovery—this evocative new perfume captures the essence of Porto in a single spritz.
Crafted by perfumer Paula Baldaia Gomes, Porto 1394 opens with bright notes of lemon and grape, mingled with delicate camellia—the symbolic flower of Porto’s gardens. A romantic heart reveals rose, lily of the valley, and aquatic accords, while the base lingers with warm sandalwood, white musk, vetiver and a hint of nutmeg.
The bottle design is as thoughtful as the scent itself. A stylized rosa dos ventos (compass rose) on the flacon recalls the city’s maritime legacy and the spirit of the explorers who set sail from Portuguese shores.
Founded in 2018, Leme (a brand from Portuguese products company 100ml) specializes in storytelling through scent, with previous launches including Lisboa 1497 and Algarve 1434. With Porto 1394, the brand continues its mission to preserve Portuguese heritage—one unforgettable fragrance at a time.
