Dona Bia is a must do when visiting Comporta. Why? For one, it is conveniently located on the EN 261 on your way to Comporta, and near the turn off to Praia Torre. More importantly, for the consistently good traditional Portuguese food that attracts residents and tourists alike…and keeps them coming back for more.
There’s plenty of room for everyone at Dona Bia, whether inside the traditional style villa, or out on the front terrace taking in the sunshine and fresh sea air. Décor is Portuguese beachy, with nautical motifs interspersed with artisan crafts made in the area.
Dona Bia has a reputation for their rice dishes such as seafood rice (clams, shrimp and muscles) and monkfish rice. Portuguese favorites fill out the menu with some stand outs being lulinhas (little squid) with garlic and coriander (pictured), farinheira (pork flavored wheat sausage)with eggs, and pork loin with shrimp and pineapple.
