A set of 18 tombs grouped into multiple cores and with a great architectural diversity are located between the northern estuary of Alvor and the foothills of the Serra de Monchique. Starting with the third century, many generations have used this region as a repository for their dead by using caves as collective tombs, excavated crypts and under stone monuments.
