Autumn has arrived at Vila Vita Biergarten in Porches, and with it comes one of the most anticipated culinary traditions of the year — Game Season. Running through 16 November, this special menu celebrates the robust, comforting flavors of game cuisine, perfectly paired with the finest German and craft beers.
Inspired by Bavarian traditions and the earthy richness of the season, the menu is a feast of rustic indulgence. Highlights include the Hunter’s Platter, (pictured at top) featuring sausages and wild boar ham, and marinated partridge served with cornbread and pomegranate. There’s also the delicate pheasant ragout, offering a more refined take on game classics.
For those who crave deeper, heartier tastes, the game goulash and wild boar ribs with BBQ sauce promise to satisfy, while the mushroom ragout with pretzel knödel provides a flavorful vegetarian option that doesn’t compromise on comfort. And to end on a sweet note, the apple cake with walnut ice cream pays tribute to the season’s harvest.
Each dish has been crafted to highlight local, seasonal ingredients, blending Portuguese authenticity with the warm hospitality of Bavaria.
