After generating a successful buzz with his former store, French proprietor Alexander Neimann moves Barracuda to a new, much larger space in the heart of Carvalhal. Alex has an eye for mid-century modern design and a passion for Alentejo beach style. Barracuda Comporta has the unique and appealing furnishing and décor items you need to bring vintage and bohemian design to your home.
Alexander fell in love with Comporta on his first visit some years ago. “I was struck by these insane landscapes, giving you the feeling to be sometime in Africa and other times in Asia. I’ve been touched by the simple and elegant lifestyle,” he explains.
Barracuda is a showroom evoking elegant “cabana style.” 20th-century vintage furniture sits alongside newly-produced furniture designed by Alexander himself. The vintage pieces are sourced from France and Italy, with the new items made in Portugal.
Completing the interior ambiance are unique home accessories and art, especially ceramics, that Alexander finds in Portugal and other parts of Europe.
