Unique among Comporta restaurants, Jacaré da Comporta—now part of the always-stylish Sublime Comporta group—expanded in summer 2023 with a more international approach. They’re importing Italian ingredients and bringing unique flavors to the coast.
In the meantime, the design is very much in line with what Comporta is turning into: a bohemian mix of elements inspired by Bahia, Brazil, and historical details like Alentejo blankets and wheat sacks used as decor. It makes sense because the space was inaugurated, in 2019, by Brazilian designer Fernando Droghetti, who achieved success with distinctive projects in Trancoso.
The menu emphasizes Mediterranean flavors, particularly the smoky ones created in the wood-burning oven. The choices are mainly inspired by Italian recipes such as pizza Diavola, flavorful pasta, and creamy risotto
The bar is a dreamy spot for Atlantic sunsets, and extended summer hours allow guests to welcome the nightlife in Comporta. A DJ sets up, and the dance floor comes to life.
