“The Building on Exhibition” at the Reopened MUDE in Lisbon

After what seems to have been years upon years of closure for building renovation, MUDE – Museum of Design has finally opened its doors to the public.  Extensive rehabilitation work has been completed on the former historic bank building in the Pombaline Quarter (Baixa) of Lisbon.  So much so, that directors have decided that the first exhibition at the reopened museum will be the building itself.  “The Building on Exhibition” runs through 31 October 2024.

The exhibition is a journey through time, starting with the 18th century, exploring and appreciating various interiors (and future exhibition spaces) of the former bank building, which covers 6,000m2 across six floors.
