Traces of Me – Portuguese designer Teresa Martins sells her dreamy, drapey clothing and nature-inspired home goods outside her native country, at luxury boutiques around the world. But perhaps nowhere is her hippie-chic, bohemian style as at home as it is in Comporta, with which it shares the same relaxed sophistication.
Traces of Me boutique is a destination in its own right, even if you aren’t in the market for a luxurious silk dress or linen tunic (whose prices can run well into triple digits, a reflection of the quality of the materials and craftsmanship). It is one of the most beautiful shops in the village, with intricate chandeliers crafted of tree branches, oversize silk lamps, wooden tables and pallets that serve as couches with colorful cushions.
