“Days of Punk” Exhibition at Centro Cultural de Cascais, through 28 January

Whether you’re a music enthusiast or an art aficionado, you’re in for an exhilarating treat. The “Days of Punk” multimedia exhibition, curated by American photographer and filmmaker Michael Grecco, will take you on a captivating journey through the rebellious era of punk rock.  “Days of Punk” runs through 28 January 2024 at the Centro Cultural de Cascais.

The exhibition features over 100 unfiltered and unapologetic photographs taken by Grecco of music legends like The Clash, Johnny Rotten, Ramones, Wendy O. Williams of The Plasmatics, The Dead Kennedys, Billy Idol, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Adam Ant, Lene Lovich, Aimee Mann, and many others.  These iconic figures are immortalized in their unadulterated glory, a testament to the bold spirit of the punk scene.

The exhibition also includes memorabilia from Grecco’s personal collection, such as magazines, posters, as well as archival video footage.  Take a step further and “experience” the punk scene through audio soundscapes in collaboration with Roger Miller and Peter Prescott of the cult band Mission of Burma
