ADD FUEL + Viúva Lamego = Relevante

ADD FUEL (aka Diogo Machado) is a world-famous urban artist.  Viúva Lamego is a historic ceramic factory.  Together, they’ve developed a product blending modern creativity with traditional tile-making.  Relevante is a limited collection of raised-relief tiles featuring the clever and mischievous designs of ADD FUEL.  For a limited time (until September 2021), you can order Revelante tiles online to decorate your home or add art to your walls.

ADD FUEL is most noted for his large format murals that emulate the iconic blue and white tiles, known as azulejos.  But, if you take a closer look at the detail of his “tile” designs, you begin to detect cartoon characters and non-traditional graphics.

As a respected tile maker since 1849, Viúva Lamego continually seeks to innovate.  In recent years, they’ve collaborated with Portuguese creatives, such as architect Álvaro Siza Vieira and conceptual artist Joana Vasconcelos.  For this next year, their focus is on working with the unique designs of ADD FUEL.

The Revelante Collection is made up of four different ADD FUEL designs.  Each design is completed using four 14cm-by-14cm tiles.  Prices for each tile range from €18-€30, depending on the quantity ordered.  The tiles are dimensional using a raised relief technique.  Designers and art collectors are encouraged to mix and match.  Create a custom work of art to hang on the wall, create accent panels or install full feature walls using these playful and beautiful tiles.
