There’s something undeniably magical about the Algarve after sunset. The hills quiet down, the summer heat softens, and under the glow of a full moon, the landscape takes on an entirely different energy. This season, The Spa at Viceroy at Ombria Algarve is inviting guests to experience that transformation through a new series of immersive Full Moon Rituals.
Inspired by the rhythms of the lunar cycle and the restorative power of nature, the evening wellness experiences are designed to encourage guests to slow down, reconnect, and reset. Set against the serene backdrop of Ombria’s countryside setting, each gathering blends mindful movement, relaxation, and social connection beneath the moonlit sky.
The inaugural Full Moon Ritual series marks the first anniversary of The Spa at Ombria, the four-story wellness sanctuary that has quickly become one of the Algarve’s most distinctive wellness destinations. Known for its thermal circuit, indoor and outdoor pools, movement studios, and holistic wellness programming, the spa was designed to foster a deeper connection between guests and the surrounding landscape.
Guests can expect an evening that unfolds from day into night, including:
- One-hour Moonlight Yoga session
- Tea ceremony following the practice
- Candlelit access to the thermal pools
- A glass of bubbles or wellness smoothie
- Selection of light snacks
The experience takes place from 21:00 to 22:30. and is priced at €85 per person. Participation is limited to just 20 guests, creating an intimate atmosphere for relaxation and reflection.
This is the first in a series of Full Moon Rituals taking place throughout the summer, with additional dates scheduled for June 29, July 29, August 28, and September 26.
